Lo-fi helped with some of the collider issues I was having, I managed to fix all but one issue. Most everything I cleared up myself, actually. Honestly i think it doesn't matter if the RCS isnt exactly the same as the movie but just make the spacecraft very controllable when it comes to docking or maneuvering, i actually have trouble going forward using RCS, it only uses the front thrusters, not the back ones, one other question, will the VTOL engines use monopropellant or liquid fuel? I was thinking about moving the pilot seat up into that position, and leaving the co-pilot in the default one, just for some variety. The other was about the IVA, In the movie, the seats lift upwards towards the windows for better visibility. I'm thinking I'll just do the IVA first, then do the RCS and the control surface when I do the model update.ĭoes anyone care if the RCS isn't exactly like in the movie? The angle are odd and make balancing it hard, I was thinking of aiming the ports as close to cardinal directions as I could. Post-sleep EDIT: Looks like Mod compatability is up next, and after that the IVA/ Model update. You can then deactivate the engines(s) and then safely reactivate the fuel flow.Figured out the vibration :3 now I just need to keep the gear from falling through the ground and/or spawning under said ground. The craft loads and the engine dry-fires. Right-click the engine, and click the little green arrow to the red symbol. You cannot deactivate engines in the VAB or SRB, but you can deactivate fuel-flow. The TCA author has also encountered the problem and is working on it.īut for now, I have a workaround. Ranger & Lander nose diving and flipping at load Thing is that it's a seriously challenging mod to use, so I've had trouble figuring out why. I'll try to find a fix over at the TCA board. They would also fire up on the launch pad destroying the rocket. I was also having a problem with any command pod that included retro rockets. That action coupled with the 50% default of the throttle caused my ships to lurch forward into a tumble. For me it was turning on the engines at load. If you are also using TCA (Throttle Controlled Avionics) that could be the cause. Regarding the Ranger and Lander Flipping on load. Go into GameData/Endurance/Parts/Mini_Ranger/miniRanger.cfg file with a text editor, find and change the highlighted value (a lower value means less thrust power), and report back: Have you tried dialing down the RCS thrust power? Hmmm, Never had this problem, but then never docked the Viper, It's not really designed or intended for that. Great mod overall, awesome models, keep up the good work! I have found some other issues but they've all been mentioned, just thought I'd add this one since I haven't seen it discussed. An integrated docking port or a node for attaching one would be awesome too, for the time being I stuck a Jr port in between the engines. As a workaround, I just disabled its RCS and added my own ports, it works just fine that way. It actually adds downwards velocity while trying to translate up. The ports on the nose are way too strong, and it is impossible to translate up while maintaining a specific orientation. Just a small report here, RCS on the Viper needs to be balanced.
